Not Your Average Music School
There are many options out there, but not all music schools are built the same. Founded by Karen Zgonc, a Decatur and Atlanta resident and parent, Ztunes is built from the ground up β¨on a personal passion of music education and a comprehensive approach to all instruments.
Our faculty are carefully screened to not only be great musicians, but great educators. We participate in ongoing clinics at Ztunes and through professional associations to collaborate and learn from one another and experts in the field of music education. Our faculty are also active performers who can often be found at local festivals, in the Symphony, or various live performance venues throughout Metro Atlanta.
What We Offer
Lessons
1-on-1 private lessons on piano and nearly every instrument or voice, group lessons on piano and guitar, and preschool lessons with a highly skilled instructor. We offer 30, 45, and 60 minute lessons to ages 4 through adult. Read more about our amazing faculty here.
Classes & Clubs
Something you won’t see at your average music studio: music clubs! Ztunes offers several different opportunities for students of all ages and levels to come together for group music-making. We offer Preschool Music Class for ages 3 to 5, Glee Club for our budding elementary level singers, Rock Bands, Flute Club, Piano Club, Music Makers for your student’s first rock band experience, and are proud to partner with The Music Class for parent & me classes.
Camps
Every summer and throughout the school year we offer exciting camp opportunities for students in Atlanta and Decatur. This Summer will be the best one yet!

Karen has followed her passion to bring a community of high-quality music making and experiences to students of all ages and levels with the official start of Ztunes Music in 2016, and the acquisitions of Eclectic Music in 2024 and ATL Music Lessons in 2025.

Our most anticipated event of the year is happening March 28, and we canβt wait to celebrate the work of our dedicated students!
Honors Festival gives our musicians the chance to perform for judges, receive professional written feedback, and showcase their work in a supportive setting! Students receive a certificate at the end of their performance.
