2021 Learning choice
We are happy to be able to offer in-person instruction as of February 1, 2021. All instruction will take place in our Virginia-Highland location at 743 Virginia Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30306.

Ztunes Music 2021 COVID Lesson Guidelines:
Lesson Rooms:
- Have an individual H13 True HEPA Air Purification systems
- Have a clear plastic sneeze guard dividing student and teacher
- Thoroughly sanitized at the beginning and end of each teaching day
- Piano keys, stands, and door handles sanitized between lessons
Prior to entering the space, students and teachers must:
- Have a signed waiver on file
- Have temperature taken (under 100.4)
- Be masked
- Sanitize hands
Student Arrival and Departure:
- Students are met at the outside door for temp check and hand sanitizing. Only student allowed in the building (*special permission can be approved by Director for parent to come in)
- Lessons finish 3 minutes early for sanitizing and student delivery to parent/guardian outside the building
In Lessons
- All students and teachers are spread out 6 feet apart at a minimum.
- Trombones must be spaced 9 feet apart front to back.
- Winds, Brass, and Voice students face the same direction in straight lines.
- Students and teachers have a sneeze guard in between.
- All students and directors will wear proper PPE (masks and instrument covers) for in-class instruction time.
- Water keys are properly emptied.
- Students utilize their own copies of music and music stands are used by one student at a time.
Equipment/Materials/Supplies
- No sharing of instruments or equipment unless it can be disinfected/sanitized effectively between use following the guidance found in the resources below. Students should be taught proper sanitizing and cleaning habits.
- Water keys should not be emptied directly onto the floor. They can be emptied on puppy pads or in plastic cups and disposed of each day.
- Only one student should utilize each music stand. Sanitize in between each use.
- Classes should be paperless when reasonably possible.
Wind Instruments PPE:
- Bell covers of multi-layer high denier nylon and masks for all wind instruments are expected to be utilized.
- Instrument masks should only be worn during band rehearsals and performances. Another mask should be worn throughout the day.
Voice lessons PPE:
- Masks must be worn at all times. The students’ mask for voice lesson should be different from the mask they wear during the rest of the day.
- Some masks may be more conducive to singing.

- Singing and chanting should be kept at minimal volume levels.
